Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the autumn draft into the army.

The draft will take place from October 1st to December 31st. During this period, 130,000 individuals aged 18 to 27 will be conscripted into the army.

The Russian General Staff previously announced that they do not plan to send conscripts to the combat zone in Ukraine.

This draft will be the last one with the conscription age limited to 27 years. Starting from spring 2024, men up to the age of 30 will be subject to conscription. The new rule will not apply to those who turn 27 by the end of 2023.
