Russian attacks across several Ukrainian regions killed at least three people and injured 26 others over the past day, with casualties reported in Sumy, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Kherson and Kharkiv regions.
In Sumy region, two people were killed and 13 injured as Russian forces carried out more than 60 strikes on 25 settlements in 13 communities between the mornings of September 29 and 30.
A 74-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were killed by guided aerial bombs in the Sumy community. Among those injured were two children aged one and six. Attacks damaged apartment buildings, private homes, civilian infrastructure, vehicles, a trolleybus and a cemetery.
Two other men, aged 45 and 38, were injured by an explosive device in the Verkhniosyrovatska community.
In Mykolaiv region, a 56-year-old man was killed in Dmytrivka during an attack involving Shahed and Gerbera drones. One private house was destroyed and two others damaged, along with four outbuildings. Fires also broke out following the attack.
Six people were injured in Donetsk region: three in Bylbasivka, and one each in Sloviansk, Shabelkivka and Druzhkivka.
In Kherson region, five people were injured as Russian forces used aircraft, drones and artillery against Kherson and 17 other settlements. Regional authorities said critical and social infrastructure and residential areas were targeted, with at least two private homes damaged.
Two people suffered acute stress reactions in Kharkiv region, including an eight-year-old girl in Kharkiv and an 85-year-old woman in Ohurtsivka. Russian drones struck several districts of Kharkiv, damaging an apartment building, private house, vehicles and the roof of a shopping centre.
Zaporizhzhia region came under 686 Russian strikes against 51 settlements. The attacks included 22 air strikes, 530 drone attacks — predominantly using FPV drones — five strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems and 129 artillery attacks. Authorities received 44 reports of damage to infrastructure, homes and vehicles.
Russian drones also attacked three districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. Infrastructure was damaged in the Zelenodolska community, while attacks were also reported in Nikopol, the Pokrovska community and the Mykolaivska community, where a fire broke out.
In Cherkasy region, air defences intercepted three Russian drones. Falling debris caused a fire at an infrastructure facility in the Cherkasy district, which was extinguished. No casualties were reported.
