The company Rheinmetall plans to establish an enterprise in Ukraine specializing in air defense systems.
This was announced by Armin Papperger during the general meeting of the company Rheinmetall.
The exact start date for the construction of the new enterprise is not disclosed. However, according to the announcement, this could happen in 1-2 years.
Additionally, any production at this enterprise will not begin immediately, as the supply chain will need to be established first.
The enterprise will also serve as a repair base for anti-aircraft systems that Germany has supplied to Ukraine, namely: IRIS-T SL, Skynex 30, and Gepard.
Over the past year, Rheinmetall has repeatedly announced plans to build its subsidiaries in Ukraine.
