Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Roman Mashovets met with Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Larisa Galadza and discussed the situation on the aggression of the Russian Federation and ways of developing Ukrainian-Canadian cooperation in this regard.

During the talks, the Ambassador of Canada was informed in detail about the actions of the Russian occupation forces on the front of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the plans of the Russian Federation for further mobilization. Attention was focused on new threats to Ukraine, related to Russia's use of Iranian drones and targeted attacks on the critical energy infrastructure of our country. Roman Mashovets assured the Canadian side of the steadfast determination of the security and defense forces of Ukraine to defend their land until the complete victory over the enemy, until the restoration of the country's territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders.

The Deputy Head of the President's Office expressed gratitude for the powerful support of Ukraine in repelling the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, which Canada provides both in the international arena and through the improvement of our country's defense capabilities through the transfer of weapons and military equipment.

Larisa Galadza assured the Ukrainian side of the unchanged position of Ottawa regarding active assistance in countering the aggressive steps of the Russian Federation. Such activity will be continued in all possible directions of interaction. In particular, this applies to international platforms (Contact Group of Interaction in the Ramstein format, G7, NATO, etc.), logistical and technical assistance from Canada, as well as active participation in training missions for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UNIFIER operation).

The parties agreed to continue conducting bilateral consultations and to intensify the dialogue on the issues raised.
