After the de-occupation of Kherson, the further offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may start from the Zaporizhzhia region in one of three directions.
Military expert Roman Svitan told this to RBC-Ukraine .
The expert noted that the situation on the right-bank part of Kherson was predicted back in the summer when the Armed Forces of Ukraine received HIMARS long-range weapons.
"The enemy began withdrawing troops from Kherson to the left bank, not yesterday or the day before, but when they announced the alleged evacuation of civilians," Svitan stressed.
In the future, the forces of Ukraine will not force the Dnieper but will gain a foothold on the right and hold it with the help of artillery.
The liberation of the occupied territories, according to Svitan, will start from the Zaporizhzhia region in one of three directions: Berdyansk, Melitopol, or Mariupol in the Donetsk region.
"The most optimal way is to advance through Vuhledar in the Donetsk region to Mariupol or come close to Volnovakha to keep the deliveries of the enemy grouping under tight fire control. But only Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny knows what plan the Defense Forces will implement," Svitan said.
