Military instructor pilot, colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve, military expert Roman Svitan believes that there will be no breakthrough in defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and an offensive from the enemy on the southern front.

"The enemy goes on the defensive and tries to disperse. The defense is built in a checkerboard pattern to cover the withdrawal, the invaders are planning a retreat. From north to south, the enemy is carrying out some defensive measures. The Russians already see the general contours of our offensive operations and the probable front line. Therefore, on the southern front, there will definitely not be any offensive actions on the part of the enemy," Svitan stressed on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

According to a military expert, the enemy still has a fighting fuse on the Donetsk and Lugansk fronts for a few more weeks.

"The enemy still has a certain amount of forces and equipment left on the Eastern Front. By the end of the month, the Russians will use everything, and then they will go into a dead-end defense. The enemy will hold back our counter-offensive actions in the directions that our General Staff will determine," Svitan said.
