A Ukrainian-language audio guide has been introduced at the Royal Delft Museum in the Dutch city of Delft, allowing Ukrainian visitors to learn about the history of the famous Delft ceramics and local pottery traditions in their native language.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands announced the launch on Facebook.

Royal Delft is a ceramics manufactory founded in 1653. It is the only surviving 17th-century Delft pottery factory still producing traditional blue-and-white Delft Blue ceramics. Museum visitors can explore the history of Dutch ceramic art, observe the production process and the work of skilled craftsmen, and view exhibits combining traditional techniques with contemporary design.

The audio guide was introduced as part of an initiative launched by Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska. Royal Delft has become the seventh museum in the Netherlands to offer guided tours in Ukrainian. Other participating institutions include the Rijksmuseum, Bredius Museum, Escher Museum, Mauritshuis, Van Gogh Museum and Rembrandt House Museum.

During the launch ceremony, Ukraine's Ambassador to the Netherlands, Andrii Kostin, thanked Dutch partners and the Ukrainian community for supporting initiatives aimed at promoting the Ukrainian language and culture.

In her address marking the introduction of the audio guide, Olena Zelenska emphasised the importance of preserving traditional crafts. She noted that ceramic production exists in almost every region of Ukraine, including frontline areas, where artisans continue working despite the destruction caused by the war.

The Royal Delft Museum is located at Rotterdamseweg 196 in Delft.
