Due to significant losses in personnel, Russian command has redeployed the 76th Airborne Assault Division to the Kursk region to resume offensive actions. Viktor Kravtsov, acting head of the communications division of the 82nd Bukovyna Brigade of Ukraine’s Airborne Forces, reported this during a TV broadcast.

"The enemy is concentrating its forces in the Kursk region, bringing in additional units. After suffering losses in its marine and airborne divisions, Russia has redeployed its 76th Airborne Assault Division to renew its offensive. The enemy aims to expel us from this area as quickly as possible, but we continue to defend," Kravtsov stated.

He also highlighted that while Russia is accumulating military equipment in the area, Ukraine's defense forces have been successfully destroying it.

"In fact, the Russians are stockpiling equipment, but just the day before, 35 to 37 units of military equipment were destroyed. Our brigade is acting tactically and effectively, and a large number of Russian vehicles have already been destroyed," he added.

When asked about the impact of the ongoing battles in the Kursk region on the frontlines in Ukraine, Kravtsov noted that the shift in focus is relieving some pressure on the eastern front.

"By observing the combat situations both in the east and in the north of our country, we can conclude that the Russian army is deploying its most combat-ready and well-prepared units to Kursk. This is, in my opinion, relieving some of the pressure on the eastern direction," he concluded.
