On the night of June 9 (from 8:00 PM on June 8), the Russian forces launched an air attack using 499 aerial weapons:

479 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of drone simulators from directions including Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russian Federation;

  • 4 aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 Kinzhal from the Tambov region — Russian Federation;
  • 10 cruise missiles Kh-101 from the Saratov region — Russian Federation;
  • 3 cruise missiles Kh-22 from the airspace over the Black Sea;
  • 2 anti-radar missiles Kh-31P from the airspace over the Black Sea;
  • 1 cruise missile Kh-35 from the occupied territory of Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 10:30 AM, air defense has neutralized 479 Russian aerial weapons — 292 shot down by fire means, 187 lost by electronic warfare suppression or location:

  • 277 Shahed-type drones (and other types of drones) shot down by fire, 183 lost or suppressed by electronic warfare;
  • 10 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
  • 4 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles;
  • 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles — did not reach targets (lost by location);
  • 2 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles;
  • 1 Kh-35 cruise missile.

Russian aerial weapons hit 10 locations, with debris from shot-down devices falling in 17 locations.
