Russian attacks across Ukraine kill civilians and injure dozens in 24 hours

Russian forces launched hundreds of drones, artillery shells, guided bombs, and missiles across multiple regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours, killing at least six civilians and injuring at least 50 others, according to regional authorities.

The attacks targeted communities across eastern, southern, and northeastern Ukraine, damaging homes, infrastructure, businesses, and public facilities.

Kharkiv region came under one of the largest drone assaults, with Russian forces deploying approximately 100 drones of various types, including Geran-2, Lancet, Molniya, and FPV systems. According to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov, one person was killed and 15 injured, including a 14-year-old girl.

In Kharkiv city, strikes hit five districts, damaging apartment buildings, private homes, railway infrastructure, vehicles, and warehouses. Ten civilians were wounded. In the village of Ruska Lozova, a 70-year-old woman was killed, while four other residents were injured. Additional casualties were reported in Vysokyi. Russian attacks also damaged residential buildings, power lines, businesses, fuel stations, vehicles, and community facilities across the Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Lozova, and Chuhuiv districts.

In Sumy region, Russian forces carried out 70 attacks against 37 settlements in 18 communities between June 9 and June 10. Two civilians were killed and at least five others injured.

A 57-year-old man was killed in the Putyvl community during a drone strike, while a 73-year-old man died after explosives were dropped from a drone in the Velyka Pysarivka community. Additional injuries were reported in the Sumy, Krolevets, and Novoslobidska communities.

Regional authorities said Russian forces used artillery, mortars, multiple-launch rocket systems, FPV drones, conventional UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. Numerous residential buildings, civilian infrastructure facilities, vehicles, farms, and commercial properties were damaged or destroyed.

In Donetsk region, Russian attacks killed three civilians in Druzhkivka and Kramatorsk and wounded seven others, according to regional governor Vadym Filashkin.

Kherson region remained under sustained fire, with Russian forces striking 39 settlements using drones and artillery. Thirteen civilians were injured. The attacks damaged apartment buildings, private homes, administrative facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, agricultural properties, municipal enterprises, and civilian vehicles.

In Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces launched 817 strikes against 46 settlements in a single day, one of the highest daily attack totals reported in recent weeks. The attacks included 29 airstrikes, 546 drone attacks, one multiple-launch rocket strike, and 241 artillery attacks.

Ten people were injured in attacks on Zaporizhzhia city and the surrounding district. Regional authorities recorded 73 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.

Meanwhile, nearly 20 drone attacks targeted two districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. Strikes damaged a municipal enterprise, a lyceum, an administrative building, and a vehicle in the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts. No casualties were reported.
