Russian forces attacked Odessa during the day on July 22, damaging infrastructure and hitting a residential area, according to local authorities.
“Enemy forces attacked Odessa. Infrastructure has been damaged. There are strikes on the residential sector,” Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa Military Administration, said.
Later, Lysak reported that two people had been injured as a result of the attack.
Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper provided additional details, saying the victims were an 82-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man. Both are receiving medical assistance.
According to the regional administration, the attack damaged a two-story residential building and the premises of a service station.
Authorities are continuing to assess the consequences of the strike and clarify information about the extent of the damage and possible additional casualties.
