All those affected by the Russian attack were immediately transported to a local hospital. The hostile attack damaged the canteen hall of the plant management, with windows shattered. Currently, efforts are underway to clear the debris.
"We have always valued our employees as the most important part of our large mining and metallurgical company. Today's loss is a tremendous blow to each of us. On behalf of all Metinvest employees, I express deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. In this difficult time for you, know that we stand together. The company will provide comprehensive assistance to the families of the deceased and the injured employees. The enemy openly targets Ukrainian enterprises that sustain city life, peaceful residents, and our children. In another terrorist act, there can only be one goal—to intimidate us and cowardly retaliate against our patriotism, our resilience, our unity demonstrated in the fight against the enemy. We are on the side of good, so we must stand firm to defeat evil," wrote Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group.
