"During the night, the enemy resorted to aerial attacks. Tactical aviation in the Black Sea attacked Snake Island for the third time this month, dropping two aerial bombs of an unidentified type in the area of the island," the statement reads.
Furthermore, the military also reminded that on the night of July 30, the invaders directed Shahed-136 combat drones from the eastern coast of the Azov Sea towards agricultural enterprises in Kherson Oblast and the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region.
"All four drones were destroyed by the air defense forces. The debris fell on the territory of one of the agricultural firms. A fire broke out in a grain storage facility, which was promptly extinguished. Storage facilities were damaged, but no people were injured," reported the "South" command.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, clarified that the debris fell in the Kryvyi Rih district.
Snake Island, a small island with an area of about 20 hectares in the Black Sea, belongs to the Odessa region. It was occupied by the Russian army since late February 2022. In July 2022, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed its final liberation.
