The Russian invaders built a military base in the north of the temporarily occupied Crimea. It includes a fortified perimeter and a helipad.
This information was shared by OSINT analyst Brady Africk on his personal Twitter account. The expert drew conclusions based on satellite images, which are dated by the end of 2022.
"Russian forces built a base in northern Crimea toward the end of 2022. Satellite imagery shows that it has a heliport and fortified perimeter," Africk wrote.
The analyst has schematically marked all parts of the military base in the image. The protected area has the shape of a trapezoid. Several roads lead to it and the heliport.
The satellite imagery came shortly after statements from the occupation administrations on the peninsula about the nationalization of about 500 properties. Some of them belonged to Ukrainian politicians and entrepreneurs.
Africk also released the exact coordinates of the military base - 46.0807 and 34.8133. Thanks to this, it became known that the building is located on the Arabat Spit in the temporarily occupied Genichesk district of the Kherson region.
