Terrorist Igor Strelkov-Girkin said that the fighters of the "International Legion" were counterattacking the invaders in Severodonetsk. Russian units are forced to retreat.

He announced this on Telegram.

"Information about an enemy counterattack in Severodonetsk is being confirmed. According to reports from several sources, the Ukrainians brought into the battle units of foreign mercenaries, mostly Poles (although there are also talks in English on the air)," Girkin said.

He also clarified that the defenders of Ukraine are advancing, while Russian units are retreating.

"Detailed information about the depth of the enemy's success (the success of the defenders of Ukraine) is different, and I'll keep it for now," he added.

The head of the Luhansk OMA Serhiy Gaidai confirmed earlier that the "International Legion" fighters arrived in the region to help the Ukrainian military. According to him, volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine came to Severodonetsk.
