Last night, Russian forces carried out a targeted strike on civilian passenger rolling stock, Ukrzaliznytsia reported on Facebook.

“The high-speed Intercity+ train depot was among the targets,” the statement said.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of railway workers from the depot, the fire at the site was extinguished. One trainset was severely damaged.

Ukrzaliznytsia noted that all employees had taken shelter in advance and remained unharmed.

“We are doing everything possible to get the maximum number of trains back on schedule. No routes will be canceled: we are deploying replacement rolling stock. We will provide updates on delays as infrastructure repairs continue,” the company stressed.

Additionally, due to damage to railway infrastructure at the Koziatyn hub, several trains are currently operating on modified routes.
