The speaker of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevaty, spoke about the TOS-1 heavy flamethrower systems that Russian troops use in the war in Ukraine.

"This is an inhuman system. Due to excessive pressure, blast wave, and incredibly high temperature, it actually destroys everything that comes under fire. If Western science went to produce high-precision systems for defeat control, then all Russian weapons are completely low-precision," Cherevaty said

According to him, the Russians attacked Avdiivka on December 30 from the Solntsepeka. Fortunately, there were no casualties or casualties, because at that moment, no one was at the site of the shelling.

"Solntsepek" is a somewhat improved Soviet Buratino system, first used in Afghanistan and then in Chechnya," Cherevaty said.

On 9 March 2022, the UK Ministry of Defence said on Twitter that the Russian Ministry of Defence had confirmed the use of the weapon system in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian forces went on to capture several units which were left abandoned by the Russians, and have used a captured unit against the Russians.
