The Armed Forces of Ukraine have introduced nearly 480 new models of weapons and military equipment (WME) since the beginning of 2024. Over the course of six months, the Ministry of Defense has deployed almost 480 new samples of weapons and military equipment (WME) into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the defense department.

Approximately 290 of these are products of the domestic defense-industrial complex.

"Domestic manufacturers of defense products significantly increased production volumes of weaponry across a wide range of categories in 2024. Active efforts are ongoing in the development and production of new weapon models. The fact that many around the world are interested in the experience of using the weapons and equipment we manufacture speaks for itself," said Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, First Deputy Minister of Defense.

 

 

The largest group in the list of codified and put into operation samples of WME in the first half of 2024 is UAVs.

These include UAVs designed for aerial reconnaissance and drones of various purposes

Next in line are various types of ammunition, primarily intended for use with drones.

The third largest group by quantity consists of communication and electronic warfare (EW) equipment.

Also included in the list of newly adopted and upgraded models of weapons and military equipment are engineering tools, ground robotic systems, close combat weapons, demining equipment, and optoelectronic devices.
