Cybersecurity experts from the Security Service of Ukraine systematically counter information subversion threats posed by occupiers. Since the beginning of this year, nearly 4,000 cyberattacks on electronic systems of central government bodies and critical infrastructure in Ukraine have been neutralized.

This was emphasized during a practical seminar conducted by the SSU Cyber Department for officials responsible for information security in government agencies and strategic objects of Ukraine. More than 70 representatives from various departments participated in the event.

During the seminar, SBU personnel conducted training on enhancing Ukraine's cybersecurity and shared best practices for countering cyber threats. This included the use of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, and email services.

SBU experts noted that most hostile cyberattacks are aimed at gaining unauthorized access to the electronic document flow of government institutions and technological infrastructure. Publicly accessible services, particularly email, are usually the "entry points" for Russian hackers.

During the seminar, participants practiced algorithms for joint responses to and minimization of the negative consequences of relevant cyberattacks.

To enhance interagency cooperation, the SSU has connected over 1,700 representatives from government structures and strategically important objects to the MISP-UA platform for sharing information about detected cyber incidents.

All comprehensive measures undertaken during the practical seminar were part of the so-called "Cybersecurity Month" and will significantly strengthen the protective potential of state automated systems against Russian cyberattacks in the conditions of the ongoing conflict.
