On the night of March 24, Russian forces attacked Ukraine, including the Odessa region, damaging the port infrastructure, according to the Southern Defense Forces.

"The enemy has returned to terrorize the region along the Danube. Damage has been inflicted on the port infrastructure. Fortunately, no casualties were reported," the statement said.

The Defense Forces noted that the fighting lasted almost the entire night.

It is reported that the Russian forces directed two waves of strike drones, attempting to attack a wide swath from southern Odessa to Dnipropetrovsk.

In the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces, they successfully intercepted 22 barrage shells: 15 were shot down in Dnipropetrovsk region, 3 each in Odessa and Mykolaiv regions, and 1 in Kherson region.

"In Dnipropetrovsk region, the enemy attempted to attack energy facilities. Due to falling debris in Kryvyi Rih, the district heating network and power transmission line were damaged," the statement said.

It is noted that the debris from the downed drone damaged an energy facility in Nikopol. Specialists are working on restoring electricity supply.
