The SSU neutralized a Russian agent who created 20 pro-Russian online media outlets in Ukraine. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The attacker turned out to be a resident of Kyiv. It was supervised by the special services of the aggressor country to spread the ideas of the "Russian peace" in our state as much as possible.
To do this, the Kyiv citizen was tasked to create more than 20 online media. They regularly justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. In addition, fakes about the Armed Forces of Ukraine were written in such publications to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.
The total audience of these resources amounted to more than 2.2 million unique users per month. As a result of the authorized searches, computer equipment, flash drives, mobile devices, and documents proving his illegal activity were found and seized.
Now the SSU investigators have detained the agent and informed him of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (production and distribution of materials in which justification is recognized as lawful and Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine is denied). This article provides for imprisonment for up to 5 years with possible confiscation of property.
