Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine has lasted more than five months. We are resisting the Russian onslaught thanks to the bravery of the soldiers of the Armed Forces, the solidarity of volunteers, the steadfastness and selfless work of each of us. The enemy destroys our homes, but not our faith, we bear irreparable losses, but we know that we must persevere and not leave this war to our children. We know that we should stick together and help each other.

With the support of the Office of the Ukrainian President the Ukrainian State Film Agency is launching the film art project "National Tour "Cinema for Victory!" in support of the Ukrainian military and internally displaced persons.

"The war has been going on in our country for more than eight years. Russia's full-scale aggression forced Ukrainians to leave their homes in search of safety: many are fleeing this war, not for the first time, it left many homeless altogether. Like Ukrainian soldiers who defend our country with extraordinary fortitude and courage, they need moral and psychological support, internal recovery and motivation to resist all threats. Ukrainian cinema is capable of becoming such a saving force, wings of support and hope on the way to our Victory", said Head of State Film Agency Maryna Kuderchuk.

The national tour "Cinema for Victory!", which will be held as part of the events for the Independence Day of Ukraine, begins on August 6 and will last until the end of September 2022.

The project will consist of two parts: film screenings in communities where internally displaced persons stay, and screenings in military units of Ukraine, in safe places for watching films. The tour will cover 15 regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi and Zaporizhia.

Film screenings will be conducted both with traditional projection equipment and with the help of a mobile cinema complex - a cinema-mobile.

"In addition to the usual viewing of films in the cinema hall, film screenings of the tour will also take place thanks to a film mobile specially created by the "MHP-Hromadi" foundation and the "Look Ukrainian!" Association. This cinema complex is a completely mobile and autonomous platform based on a special trailer, with a large high-quality LED screen, independent sound and electrical equipment, allowing us to show movies even in the most remote corners of our country", said Head of the Association "Look Ukrainian!" Andriy Rizol.

The National Tour programme includes full-length feature films, documentaries and short films of various genres and authors. Star ambassadors of the project will be Ada Rogovtseva and Kateryna Stepankova, Bohdan Benyuk and Akhtem Seitablaev, Mykhailo Illenko, Oles Sanin, Irma Vitovska, Sashko Lirnyk, Dmytro Linartovych, Oleksiy Tritenko and many other famous actors, directors and filmmakers who will present their pictures to the audience at the shows.

National Tour "Cinema for Victory!" is implemented on the initiative of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Film Agency, the Association "Watch Ukrainian!" and with the support of the "MHP-Gromadi" foundation, the NGO "UkrKinoFest", the NGO "Union of TV and Film Industry Entrepreneurs", individual units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine in cooperation with regional military-civilian administrations of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.
