British comedian and writer Stephen Fry has joined the production of the film "We Are Home" about the war in Ukraine, directed by Anton Chistiakov in the Lviv region. Deadline reported this.

Renowned British actor, director, and writer Stephen Fry served as the screenwriter for the full-length documentary "We Are Home," which tells the stories of Ukrainian women and children who became displaced due to Russian military aggression. The film's producer is British actress Kayleigh-Paige Rees, best known for her role as Julia Beaufort in the TV series "Sanditon," an adaptation of Jane Austen's unfinished novel.

The film was directed by Ukrainian Anton Chistiakov and was entirely shot in Skole, Lviv region.

The documentary focuses on the stories of children forced to leave their hometowns due to fear of Russian attacks and destruction. It sheds light on their creativity and resilience. The stories of several children from different parts of the country describe their fears, losses, and new challenges, reminding viewers of the strength of the human spirit.

"Honestly, I am speechless, and it is a great honor for me that Stephen agreed to be the narrator of our documentary film. I wrote a personal letter to Stephen, describing in detail the project and the incredible team we have assembled for this project. The film has not been released yet, but they plan to show it at festivals next year," shared Kayleigh-Paige Rees.
