Angelina Kalinina took away the title of the first racket of Ukraine, which she had held since 2012, from Elina Svitolina.
In the new ranking of the WTA (Women's Tennis Association), Kalinina moved to 35th place and outstripped Svitolina, who dropped to 37th position. Thus, the 25-year-old tennis player has become the new first racket of Ukraine.
Svitolina, 27, has held the title since 2012. In May, she announced that she was pregnant and took a break from her career. Accordingly, because of this, she is waiting for a rapid fall in the WTA rankings.
Leadership in the world ranking was retained by the Pole Iga Sventek, who on June 4 became the winner of Roland Garros.
