The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs that Russia is recruiting mercenaries in Syria to participate in combat operations against Ukraine.

Training is taking place on Syrian territory near the city of Aleppo and the "Kuweires" airbase.

The first batch - about 1000 mercenaries - is undergoing training with a focus on conducting combat operations in urban areas.

After completing the training, Syrian mercenaries will be transported to the Hmeimim airbase, and from there - to the territory of the Russian Federation.

Upon arrival in Russia, they are issued Russian passports, and then mobilized into the army.

Part of the Syrians with Russian passports, made in 5 days.

Recruiting of the male population in Syria, where there is chaos and poverty - including due to Russia's participation in the war on the territory of the Arab republic, Moscow implements through tourist companies.

Syrians are initially promised jobs as guards at oil refining facilities in Yakutia, and then lured into "higher-paying jobs" in Buryatia.

In the city of Ulan-Ude, the mobilization of passportized mercenaries awaits them into the ranks of the 5th Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Russian Federation (military unit 46108) and further participation in combat operations in Ukraine.

The recruitment of Syrians for war indicates the worsening morale and psychological state of the Russian forces due to significant losses and the need to replenish them for further meat grinders.
