Russia is losing its significant advantage in the use of ammunition in the war against Ukraine.

This information comes from a source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The source noted that while previously the Russians used around 70,000 pieces of ammunition and Ukraine used 10,000, now Ukrainian defenders are using 15,000, and Russia is using 45,000.

Additionally, according to the source, the Russians use around 1,300 FPV drones daily. However, Ukrainian defenders are launching more such drones.

Recall that at the end of June the ratio of artillery use between Ukraine and Russia had decreased to 1:3. At the beginning of the year, it was 1:7.

In late February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky explained the importance of narrowing the gap in artillery use with Russia. According to him, with a ratio of 1:3 or 1:1.5, Ukrainian defenders would be able to continue the de-occupation of territories.

News about the reduction in the ammunition usage gap comes amid the beginning of the transfer of shells to Ukraine under the Czech initiative. So far, 50,000 units have been delivered, as Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced on July 16.
