In the early hours of February 12, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. The attack caused damage, fires, injuries, and one fatality.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, rescue teams are currently responding to the aftermath in the Obolon, Sviatoshyn, and Holosiiv districts.

In the Podilskyi district, one person was injured and hospitalized, while another was found dead, according to Kyiv's mayor.

The State Emergency Service reported missile debris falling across different districts of Kyiv, causing destruction and casualties:

  • Obolonskyi district – fire in an office building from the 7th to the 1st floor, one fatality.
  • Holosiivskyi district – large warehouse fire covering 600 square meters.
  • Sviatoshynskyi district – missile debris fell, but no casualties reported.
  • Solomianskyi district – fire on the roof of an apartment building.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the number of injured in the Russian attack on Kyiv has risen to three. Two were hospitalized, while one received medical aid on-site.

"One person was killed in the Obolonskyi district," he added.
