Ukrainian companies have increased their average daily gas production in the first quarter by 2.4%. This was reported by the Association of Gas Producing Companies of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
According to the association, the increase in gas production for January-March 2024 compared to the same period last year.
"The trend towards growth is being driven by state-owned enterprises. In particular, 'Ukrgazvydobuvannya' has exceeded last year's production figures by 10% over the five months," the association's press service reported.
"Both state and private companies continue to invest in the sector. Evidence of this is the active work of drilling rigs and the number of wells drilled: 224 in two years of full-scale war. We are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine and Ukrainians are provided with their own gas next winter," said Artem Petrenko, Executive Director of the Association, during the presentation "Summer Outlooks: assessment of readiness for risks in the electricity and gas sectors from DiXi Group."
As reported earlier, the total gas production by state-owned companies Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta in 2024 will increase to 15 billion cubic meters.
