'Ukraine: Armoured Warfare in the Modern World' is NOW OPEN!
The British Tank Museum in Dorset has opened an exhibition dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian war. The museum stated that the exhibition is themed "Armored Warfare in the Modern World."
"Opening 4 April, this new exhibition with chart the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including examples of the fighting vehicles used by both sides and the very personal stories from refugees who have settled in Dorset. This harrowing exhibition will also feature the role of changing technology in 21st Century warfare and the Royal Tank Regiment's experience of training Ukrainian soldiers," writes the orginisers.
Visitors to the exhibition can read about the start of the full-scale war, combat operations, and the war's impact on civilians.
In the center of the exhibition, a T-72 tank, which belongs to the museum, is displayed. Also featured is a German infantry fighting vehicle, the Marder, which is used by Ukrainian military forces in the war.
The exhibition was visited by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who shared that even the most powerful armored vehicles are losing their effectiveness against new challenges such as drones, precision strikes, and digital intelligence.
"Tanks are no longer a guarantee of victory. The world is on the brink of a new military era," Zaluzhnyi explained.
The displayed T-72 also has its own history of assisting Ukraine.
Exhibitions dedicated to the war in Ukraine are held quite frequently in Europe. These exhibitions aim to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression and to share the experiences of Ukrainians during the war.
