On August 11, the Government of Ukraine approved the import of components for military equipment without the permission of the State Export Control, thereby significantly simplifying the import procedure, as announced by the Ministry of Economy on Friday on its website.
"We are adding components and spare parts for ground military equipment to the list of goods of military and dual-use purpose that can be imported without the permission of the State Export Control," said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, as stated in the release.
She clarified that this includes components for armored vehicles, specially equipped vehicles, and components for unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to her, this simplification of the process will greatly enhance the rear's ability to quickly restore military equipment - any enterprise with appropriate capabilities and specialists will be able to repair military equipment for the frontlines.
Svyrydenko noted that the permit procedure will remain in place for the import of goods for which Ukraine reports to international organizations for their international transfers (imports), as well as for goods that could be used for terrorist purposes and whose circulation within Ukraine is restricted by law.
The statement reminded that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers simplified the import of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and components for them, control systems, night vision and television devices, optical sights for weapons, technology for the development, production, and repair of military products, etc., into Ukraine.
