Pfizer-BioNTech's Comirnaty anti-covid vaccine will now be used for vaccinations at mass vaccination centers, where it will be available to anyone with priority for the elderly and those with comorbidities.

Ukraine expects to receive about 1 million doses of Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech from COVID-19 by the end of July, so the Ministry of Health has decided to make this vaccine available to the general public.

At the same time, there are up to 2,000 vaccination points in Ukraine every day, which use the CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech, which is supplied in single-dose vials and does not require ultra-low storage temperatures, which makes it convenient to use in such points.

All vaccines used by Ukraine, approved by the World Health Organization, are safe and protect against severe course, complications and death from COVID-19. According to recent studies, CoronaVac from Sinovac Biotech has been shown to be 83.5% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 disease and 100% effective in preventing hospitalization and death.

It is worth reminding that in more than 200 centers of mass vaccination which opened in all areas of Ukraine, everyone is vaccinated. Priority is given to the elderly, risk groups, according to the Roadmap and people with comorbidities.

Those who receive their first vaccination with Sinovac Biotech's CoronaVac vaccine at these centers will be able to be vaccinated at the second dose at the same centers or vaccination points.

Don't delay, help your elderly relatives and acquaintances to register at the most convenient vaccination points for them and, if possible, vaccinate yourself until we get a wave of diseases for a new, more dangerous strain of coronavirus "Delta".

Vaccination sites also continue to vaccinate those who received the first dose of this vaccine from any manufacturer (Covishield, AstraZeneca-SKBio) with the second dose of AstraZeneca.

At the same time, mobile teams vaccinate organized teams with Comirnaty/Pfizer vaccine, target groups with 3-4 stages of vaccination with CoronaVac/Sinovac vaccine and the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine. They also vaccinate low mobility groups with the CoronaVac/Sinovac vaccine.

As of July 12, the country had already received more than 5.6 million doses of various vaccines, including 2.4 million doses of CoronaVac/Sinovac, almost 1.7 million doses of Comirnaty/Pfizer, and almost 1.6 million doses of AstraZeneca from various manufacturers.
