Night of June 6 Attack Overview (starting 8 PM June 5):
The Russian forces launched 452 aerial attack assets including:
- 407 strike drones (Shahed type and imitators) from directions including Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (Crimea).
- 6 ballistic missiles (Iskander-M / KN-23) from Kursk and Voronezh regions (Russia).
- 36 Kh-101 cruise missiles from strategic aviation Tu-95MS/Tu-160MS flying over Saratov region and the Caspian Sea.
- 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles from near Dzhankoi (Crimea).
- 1 anti-radar Kh-31P missile from tactical aviation over the Black Sea.
Ukraine’s air defense, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drones, and mobile fire groups, actively repelled the attack.
Preliminary results as of 10:00 AM:
- 406 aerial assets neutralized:
- 199 Shahed-type and other drones destroyed by fire; 169 more were jammed or lost due to electronic warfare.
- 4 ballistic missiles destroyed; 2 others failed to reach targets due to jamming.
- 30 Kh-101 cruise missiles shot down.
- 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles destroyed.
Russian forces attack impacts recorded at 13 locations; debris from downed assets fell in 19 locations.
