As of June 7, the volume of grain and legume exports from Ukraine in the 2023/24 marketing year amounted to 47.7 million tons. This is 1.74 million tons (4%) more than the same period last season.
According to data from the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, wheat shipments since the beginning of the season amounted to 17.7 million tons, which is 1.95 million tons, or 12%, higher than last year's volumes.
Barley exports to foreign markets totaled 2.4 million tons, which is 9% lower than last year.
Rye exports amounted to 1.6 thousand tons (-91%).
Corn exports reached 27.1 million tons, which is nearly 200 thousand tons, or 1%, less than shipments at the same date last season.
The export of flour from Ukraine amounted to 93.6 thousand tons, which is 50 thousand tons, or 35%, less than last year's figure.
For reference: In the 2022/23 marketing year, grain and legume exports totaled 49 million tons: wheat — 16.8 million tons; barley — 2.7 million tons; rye — 18 thousand tons; corn — 29.1 million tons; flour — 153.6 thousand tons.
