The first multi-unit building restored with the United24 platform under the "Rebuild Ukraine" programme has been put into operation in Irpin, according to the Ministry of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development.
The renovation cost 77.79 million UAH. The repair work included replacing windows and doors, restoring walls, ceilings, the roof, and facade insulation. Systems for drainage and water supply were also restored, and the heating system and interior finishes of the apartments were repaired. After the renovation, 325 residents will return to the building, the ministry reports.
The building on Davydchuka Street, 42, was shelled with incendiary shells by Russians in March 2022. All apartments on the fifth floor were completely burned, and other apartments were damaged by tank fire.
In total, 17 more multi-unit buildings in Kyiv region need to be repaired under the "Rebuild Ukraine" programme. The funds for the work were raised by the fundraising platform United24.
