The "Virtual LitMuseum" platform was recognized as one of the best in the world in the "Arts, Culture and Events" category of The Webby Awards. This software, created by the Kharkiv Literary Museum, was selected as one of five nominees among almost 14,000 contestants. The Litmuseum team announced this on Facebook.
The museum team is now participating in the next stage of the competition, where they have a chance to win two awards: the Webby and the Webby People's Voice. Representatives of the Academy determine whether the application will receive an award from The Webby Award, and The Webby People's Voice Award is an "audience popularity" prize. Please vote here.
âVirtual LitMuseumâ is a realistic 3D space for creating online exhibitions developed with the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. A mighty team of Kharkiv IT specialists and visualizers, gathered by Oleksii Bulat, worked on creating the virtual platform.
This is an exact copy of the reconstruction of the Kharkiv Litmuseum by the architectural bureau "Drozdov and Partners". The realistic 3D space of the mobile application is a new format of presentation of museum content and presentation of online exhibitions, which borders on games, animations and videos, non-standard approaches to the display of exhibits and interaction with the visitor.
The Webby Awards (Webbys) are rewarded for Internet achievement presented annually by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The categories in which contenders are competing for nominations include websites, advertising and media, online movies and videos, mobile sites and apps, and social media.
