Together with the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Yuriy Dzhigir, the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren, visited the positions of the operational-strategic grouping of troops (OSGT) "Khortytsia" and the combat units of the Armed Forces on the eastern front.
The delegation heard reports from commanders about the current situation on the front line, familiarized themselves with the urgent needs of the military on the front, and the priorities in supplying weapons and military equipment.
Kajsa Ollongren spoke with defenders on the eastern front. Together with her colleagues, she visited the sites hit by Russian missiles and drones in Dnipro and laid flowers at the Alley of Heroes.
"It is significant and valuable that Kajsa Ollongren found the time to visit our units in the OSGT "Khortytsia" before the official events and meetings of delegations in Kyiv. This once again confirms her clear and firm position as a minister, and the Netherlands as a state in general, which is currently key and to which our joint efforts in the fight against the Russian aggressor will be directed. I thank Mrs. Kajsa and the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for their leadership in support and extraordinary attention to Ukraine," commented Deputy Minister of Defense Yuriy Dzhigir.
