The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced the start of a pilot recruitment project for the Ukrainian army. The Recruitment Center for the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine will start operating in the third week of February in the city of Lviv.
"The pilot project is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Lviv City Council and aims to build a transparent and effective model for recruitment into the Ukrainian military," the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
It is reported that the first recruitment center will be located in the Lviv City Employment Center at 67 Kostya Levytsky Street. Recruiters there will provide information on vacancies, offer consultations, conduct career guidance tests, and assist candidates on their path to appointment to their chosen position in the army.
However, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has been working on its own recruitment agency, as was announced last month. Oleksiy Bezhovets, the authorized representative of the Ministry of Defense for recruitment, stated that the launch of their own recruitment agency would be the next step after engaging platforms such as Lobby X, OLX, Work.ua, and Robota.ua.
Earlier, a recruitment center for the "Vovky Da Vinchi" battalion was opened in Lviv.
"Our main point is to ensure that all the baggage, all the skills of the person who comes to us, are taken into account when determining their future position. We want our doctors or brilliant financiers not to just go into the storm," said combat medic Mykola Ilyichuk.
