During the three weeks of operation of the UNITED24 platform, the account for healthcare needs opened with the National Bank of Ukraine received UAH 30,215,400.
The Ministry of Health has allocated UAH 26.5 million to purchase 35 vehicles for artificial lung ventilation for emergency medical facilities. This is the first purchase made with funds received under the UNITED24 campaign.
"We focus on the needs of healthcare facilities and direct funds where it is important and necessary. According to the decision of the relevant commission set up by the Ministry of Health, we sent donations for the purchase of 35 artificial lung ventilation apparatus, which allow maintaining the respiratory function of patients during transportation. This equipment was transferred to emergency medical facilities. Thanks to them, hundreds of people in serious condition will be able to get to hospitals alive,â commented Deputy Minister of Health Maria Karchevych.
The new equipment will go to the emergency medical care and disaster medicine centers located in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions.
âNow, as well as 8 years ago, in 2014, the emergency medical service of Dnipropetrovsk region has become a kind of outpost of the medical front. No employee of the Center escaped the war abroad, saving their own lives, all remained in their jobs and worked in tough conditions. We are also currently assisting the emergency services of 4 neighboring regions: Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia regions,â said Radiy Shevchenko, director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine.
