The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense has signed several agreements with Ukrainian companies for the purchase of drones, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and communication equipment.
The contracts were signed during President Volodymyr Zelensky's working visit to the Kirovohrad region.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized the importance of collaborating with Ukrainian manufacturers:
"We consciously focus on products made in Ukraine. This not only enhances our defense capabilities but also promotes the national economy and creates jobs. Purchasing drones, EW systems, and communication equipment from our producers allows us to quickly acquire the most advanced technology and be confident in its quality and suitability for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
During the meeting with arms manufacturers, Dmytro Klimenkov discussed the details and scope of the contracts, as well as strategic directions for cooperation in the near future.
"The Defense Procurement Agency continues to build effective collaboration with Ukrainian manufacturers who strive to equip our Armed Forces. Our constant advice to manufacturers of UAVs and EW systems: provide your products to the military, gather and consider feedback. Equipment that is in high demand on the battlefield quickly moves from being codified by the Ministry of Defense to the signing of a procurement contract," noted Marina Bezrukova, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to work on expanding cooperation with Ukrainian companies and plans to sign new agreements in the near future, which will contribute to the further modernization of the country's military capabilities.
