Defensive measures will be enhanced in the ports of Odessa. The focus will also be on staff safety and infrastructure recovery.

This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine on Facebook.

"We are strengthening defensive measures in every port. We are implementing additional actions to increase the level of defense capability and security," said Oleksii Kuleba, the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

According to him, additional protection for personnel working in the maritime port area is also necessary, including equipping locations with mobile shelters.

"Funds will also be allocated for the restoration of Odessa port infrastructure. In particular, this will include the modernization of key facilities and strengthening the overall security of port areas," he said.

According to the ministry, there are currently 86 vessels expected to arrive at the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi, which will export nearly 2 million tons of cargo. In total, since the implementation of the Ukrainian corridor, over 2,800 vessels have entered the three ports, directing products to more than 50 countries worldwide.
