Russia is repairing a submarine in temporarily occupied Sevastopol that fires Kalibr missiles. We are talking about the oldest boat in the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, "Alrosa", the aggressor country has already tried to repair it in May.
This is reported by "Krym.Realii".
According to journalists, the thirteenth shipyard of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation continues to repair the Alrosa submarine. Also under repair, there are a missile boat and a small anti-submarine ship.
âCurrently, the submarine is moored to the starboard side of a floating crane in the waters of Kilen Bay, where the naval shipyard is located. Scaffoldings are seen near the bow of the submarine cabin, and a floating pontoon is moored to its port side,â the publication reports.
It is known that the Russian Federation is not the first time trying to repair the oldest submarine of its Black Sea Fleet.
In May, it was reported that the ship was out of repair and was allegedly already being prepared for sea trials.
But in the Russian Federation, something went wrong again, the boat returned for repairs.
Submarine B-281 "Alrosa" was commissioned in 1990, it is equipped with an experimental jet engine instead of a propeller. Until 2013, this vessel was the only active submarine of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
Armament consists of six 533 mm torpedo tubes, up to 18 torpedoes or 24 mines. The submarine was modernized, after which it can fire Caliber-type cruise missiles.
