The Security Service discovered three caches with weapons and ammunition belonging to the occupiers in various regions of Ukraine. One of them was left by Russian forces during their retreat from the Kyiv region, intending for Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to use the hidden weapons later.

Another cache with combat weapons was prepared by a repeat offender who attempted to sell them to criminal elements in western Ukraine.

Among the seized items were an arsenal of Russian-made grenade launchers, over 15 kg of explosives with electric detonators, and automatic weapons.

In the Kyiv region:

SSU officers found a well-concealed cache in the Bucha district with Russian-manufactured weapons.

The cache was hidden under the floor of an abandoned building in one of the settlements near the capital.

During the inspection of the cache, law enforcement officers seized:

• 5 grenade launchers, including anti-tank ones;

• 12 combat grenades F-1, RGD-5, and RGO.

It was determined that the cache with combat weapons was set up by Russian forces during the occupation of the populated area.

However, during the occupiers' retreat from the Kyiv region, they left the cache for Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

According to available information, sabotage groups planned to use the hidden weapons for sabotage activities in the capital region.
