The Security Service of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure leadership, exposed large-scale corruption in the Yuzhny (Pivdenny) branch of the State Administration Sea Ports of Ukraine.
The head of a branch of a state institution in 2017-2018 and two of his subordinates was involved in the organization of illegal activities.
According to the investigation, in May 2017, officials signed a contract with a commercial structure to perform dredging works in the area of ​​the Pivdenny (Yuzhny) seaport.
At the same time, the cost of the relevant works was inflated. It was established that state money was transferred to the contractor's accounts. In this way, more than UAH 90 million were withdrawn from the state-owned enterprise.
The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the offense and possible additional qualifications of the criminal actions of those involved.
