SSU published photos and details of the detention of Oleg Muratov, deputy of Maxim Marchenko
The security service exposed the criminal actions of the deputy head of the Odessa regional military administration.
For the money, the official offered his "assistance" to the head of one of the structural subdivisions of the military administration in avoiding criminal liability for the appropriation of state property.
For $35,000, he promised to resolve the issue of closing the relevant proceedings involving the official.
For this, he allegedly planned to use personal connections in law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
As part of monitoring the commission of the crime, the Security Service documented the fact of transferring an "advance" to the official in the amount of 27,000 dollars.
SSU employees detained the official in the administrative building of the regional state administration while handing over the money he received to his driver.
During searches of the suspect's residence and his car, law enforcement officers found:
- more than 45 thousand dollars;
- more than 21 thousand euros;
- gold bars and coins.
So far, the detainee has been notified of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
