The Security Service of Ukraine is conducting extensive efforts to uncover the organizers of pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied parts of Ukraine. According to preliminary information, the Kremlin plans to hold fake plebiscites in early September of this year.
Based on the results of SSU's operational activities, over 3,500 collaborators and their Russian "handlers" involved in organizing illegal voting, as well as "candidates" for these pseudo-elections, have been identified.
Using these fake elections, the aggressor country hopes to "legitimize" its proxies in the Russian occupation authorities in the temporarily seized areas of Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
It has been revealed that representatives of the so-called "election commissions" promise monetary rewards of at least 10,000 Russian rubles to participants.
In order to create the appearance of an "electoral process," the Kremlin has instructed its proxies to ensure maximum turnout of local residents at the "voting" locations.
For instance, in Berdyansk, Russian occupiers and their accomplices are compelling chief physicians of medical institutions to ensure "100% participation" of the medical personnel in the fake elections.
Furthermore, the aggressors plan to conduct door-to-door visits to the residences of local residents to collect signatures for the "preferred candidates." The collection of "votes" is intended to be carried out in the presence of armed representatives of the Russian occupation police.
At present, the Security Service of Ukraine is documenting the criminal activities of all identified organizers of the illegal "elections" in order to hold each of them accountable for their actions.
