Due to the blockade of the western border, the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company proposes redirecting cargoes transported by trucks to European Union countries to river transport.

Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company has developed three lines for barge convoys:

Ukraine - Galati

This is the fastest route for transferring cargo across the western border to EU countries. Considering the long distance, the river convoy can make 5-7 trips to Galati per month. Therefore, the delivery time for containers is only a few days.

Ukraine - Regensburg

This route allows delivery of cargo to Germany, the nearest point to the main market for consumption of Ukrainian exports. Or to any port on the Middle and Upper Danube. However, the duration of the trip is longer than in the case of delivery to Galati.

Ukraine - Constanta

Delivery of cargo to one of the largest European seaports, with the possibility of further export to any part of the world.

The shipping company plans to deploy additional barge convoys on container lines, which will provide monthly delivery of 2,100 TEUs to Regensburg (Germany) or 5,900 TEUs to Constanta (Romania).

Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company can work with TEU/FEU containers as well as reefer containers.

River transportation by the UDSC fleet alone is an alternative to 2,000-5,000 trucks.
