The Ukrainian educational startup Preply has announced the opening of an office in the United Kingdom.
"We’re glad to announce that Preply has officially opened a new office in London, right in the middle of vibrant Shoreditch! This new location joins our global network of offices in Kyiv, Barcelona, and New York, marking a significant step in our journey towards global impact," the company shared on LinkedIn.
Preply anticipates that the new London hub will facilitate closer connections, strengthen collaborations, and provide access to the city's "rich talent pool."
Earlier this year, Preply secured a $10 million investment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and investment company Horizon Capital. In March, the company was also recognized among Europe's 100 most promising tech companies — Top 100 Next Unicorns — with the potential to achieve a valuation of $1 billion or more in the near future.
