The Ukrainian studio Creoteam, known for Collapse, Collapse: The Rage, and Football, Tactics & Glory, has reported that their game Football, Tactics & Glory has sold over 100,000 copies on Steam.
“We are thrilled to announce that our game Football, Tactics & Glory has sold more than 100,000 copies on Steam! This figure does not include sales of expansions or console versions. Thank you to all the players for your support over the years! You reported bugs, suggested ideas, left feedback on Steam, offered words of encouragement, helped with localization, gave advice to newcomers, and, of course, enjoyed the game, which has been very important to us,” the studio stated.
Selling 100,000 copies over six years is modest compared to AAA blockbusters, but it is a commendable achievement for a small Ukrainian indie studio with just three people.
Football, Tactics & Glory features a unique turn-based football mechanic that turns each match into a mix of chess and XCOM. The original game was released in 2018 and has since received two major expansions: Football, Tactics & Glory: Football Stars (2020) and Football, Tactics & Glory: Manager’s Journey (2021). The game has received very positive reviews with a Steam rating of 88/100 based on 3,530 reviews. Until August 26, 2024, the game is available at an 80% discount for just 59 UAH, so it's a great time to try it out. There is also a demo version available.
Creoteam is currently working on the next installment in the series, Football, Tactics & Glory: World, scheduled for release in Q4 2024.
