The Ukrainian national team in mixed martial arts at the European Championship, which concluded on May 19, 2024, in Slovakia, achieved a series of awards. The children's and youth teams secured the first place with 56 medals: 28 gold, 23 silver, and 5 bronze!
In the adult category, Ukrainian athletes ranked fifth, winning two gold, three silver, and one bronze.
The Ukrainian team dedicated its triumph to the defenders of the state—the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the special units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, many of whom are among the athletes.
It is important to note that thanks to negotiations between the Ukrainian UF MMA Federation and the organizers of the competition—the international organization GAMMA—athletes from Russia and Belarus were not allowed to participate in the continental championship.
