The text of the resolution expresses a persistent call to Russia to immediately and unconditionally withdraw all its troops from the territory of Ukraine.


The General Assembly of the United Nations supported the resolution on a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine in accordance with the UN Charter.

The relevant resolution on the principles of the UN Charter as the basis of a just world in Ukraine was supported during an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The Chairman of the UN General Assembly, Csaba Kőrösi, announced the voting results.

In particular, 141 UN member countries voted in favor of the resolution, 32 abstained. 7 countries voted against - Russia, Belarus, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea, Nicaragua and Mali.

The draft resolution was presented jointly by Ukraine and more than 70 other countries that became co-sponsors of the document.

The text of the resolution expresses a strong call for Russia to immediately and unconditionally withdraw all of its troops from the territory of Ukraine.

The Office of the President has already reacted to the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a resolution on peace in Ukraine. The head of the OPU called the adoption of the resolution a victory and noted: “Among those who supported us are the leading states of the Middle East. In recent weeks, I have been in constant contact with them. I am very grateful to everyone who took Ukraine's side on the anniversary of unprovoked Russian aggression. – 141. The world understands which side the truth is on.”
